OVERVIEW OF CURRICULUM MANAGEMENT PROPOSALS FOR RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT INTERNATIONAL LTD (RDI)
  • RDI offer two delivery models, online delivery known as Online and blended learning delivery known as OnlinePlus (combines 5-10% face-to-face with online).
  • CMT (at the meetings of 4thand 13th of August 2014) approved the proposal for fivenew Outcentres (Category A) to enable RDI to offer OnlinePlus blended learning as well as purely online learning.The approved Outcentres will act as a resource base for OnlinePlus; face-to-face delivery will be undertaken by RDI academics approved by ARU.
  • RDI are already approved to deliver the below validated courses through the Online delivery model, this proposal is to approve anadditional delivery option through Online Plus.
  • Both models offer quarterly entry points a year as per RDI’s standard intake points in October, January, April and July.
  • RDI retains all academic control and delivers the same academic support for both models.
  • Panel visits to formally approve the outcentres comprising a Chair and Officer are anticipated to take place in late August/early September.

  • These courses are currentlyapproved for delivery by RDI through its validation agreement with ARU; courses are delivered by the online distance learning model called Online
  • The proposal is to offer an alternative delivery model, called Online Plus, which falls within the ARU Regulations definition of ‘Mode 2: blended format combing face-to-face with online.’
  • Prior to enrolment applicants will have the option to elect either Online or Online Plusfor a higher fee to reflect the additional cost of the face-to-face element of delivery which will be undertaken at specified outcentres subject to separate approval through the Approval of Outcentres process
