REORGANIZATION MEETING January 3, 2017

The annual reorganization meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held at the Township Municipal Building, was called to order by Chairman Greg Happ at 7:30 P.M. Present were Supervisors, Duane Rape, John Nowicki, Brian Giles and Fritz Retsch. Also present were Manager Walter Beighey, Secretary Patricia Pfaff, Treasurer Elois Nadzak, Solicitor Phil Lope, Engineer Jim Culler,Police Chief Ronald Leindecker, Mark Carrier, P.J. Moldovan, Mike Guraly, Bud Meade, Lisa Lewis, Lisa Bauman, Dave Bauman, Tom Applequist, John Murtha, Don Hadfield, John Hayes, Casey Bowers, Pam Bullie, Jay Bullie, Dan Swartz, Albert E. Horn, Larry Hough, Don Nelson, Timothy Gatehouse and Craig Liston

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

The meeting was turned over to the Township Manager to accept nominations for the position of Chairman of the Board for the year 2017.

Roll call for Happ: Rape Yes, Giles Yes, Nowicki Yes, Retsch Yes and Happ Yes. Vote of 5 to 0 in favor for Happ as Chairman.

Chairman Happ asked for nominations for Vice-Chairman of the Board.

Duane Rape by Nowicki

Roll call for Rape: Rape yes, Giles Yes, Nowicki Yes, Retsch Yes and Happ Yes. Vote of 5 to 0 in favor of Rape for Vice-Chairman.

The following motions were made and unanimously approved, unless otherwise stated for the appointment or reappointment of positions in the Township:

Treasurer's Bond–Motion by Rape and Giles, to recommend to the auditors the bond be set at $1,250,000.00.

Police Chief - $79,230.70 Annual Salary

Full Time Corporal - $64,225.15 Annual Salary

Full Time Senior Patrolman - $62,625.15 Annual Salary

Full Time 4th year Patrolman - $59,493.89 Annual Salary

Full Time 3rd year Patrolman - $56,362.64 Annual Salary

Police Outside Activities– Officers to be paid $30.00 and an additional $3.00 ($33.00) to compensate the Township, by Rape and Giles

All other part time employees – Minimum wage $7.25, by Giles and Nowicki

Code Enforcement Officer Tom Albanese - $600.00 per month, by Giles and Nowicki.

Sewage Enforcement Officer and Planning Consultant per fee schedule – by

Animal Control Officer – Beaver County Humane Society per agreement by Giles

Recycling – Big Knob Livestock Club $600.00 per quarter by Giles and Nowicki

Mileage – To be paid in accordance with the IRS Allowance53.5 for 2017 by Giles and Nowicki

Motion by,Rape seconded by Nowicki, to adjourn the reorganization meeting.

Vote of 5 to 0 in favor. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 P.M.
