Our Purpose

This Volunteers in Mission work team is agroup of volunteers who share their time, talents, and financial resources for this mission. Thevolunteers (their local church and/or othersupport groups) pay their own travel andmaterial expenses so they can participatein this mission. They do so because theyhave a strong, earnest desire in theirhearts to serve others. The experience isone of sharing with others. It is workingside-by-side and worshiping with ourbrothers and sisters in Christ in another country, living and working under conditions they experience daily.

This is a West Ohio Conference endorsed mission and meets all of the requirements as set forth by United Methodist Volunteers in Mission.

Do you remember going to church campas a kid? Wasn’t it a time of deepconnection to friends, to nature, and mostimportantly, to God?

Camp Sierra Linda isa camp located high in the mountainssouth of Monterrey. Each year 2500+ youngcampers from across the OrientalConference come to know the same life changing experience you had as acamper.

Camp Sierra Linda is “holy ground.” Wehave a wonderful opportunity to join inthe ministry of this camp through this mission trip. Please ask Godhow you are to once more become moredeeply connected to Him and to othersthrough camping at Camp Sierra Linda.
