The California Veterinary Medical Board has recognized that there are many highly qualified, experienced Veterinary Technicians that should have the opportunity to demonstrate their competency as a veterinary technician by sitting for the state licensing exam. This Limited Term Eligibility Window (LTEW), will allow technicians with 5 years of clinical experience and at least 24 hours of training, to take the state veterinary technician exam and become Registered Veterinary Technicians.
