Our Vacancy
As a competent registered nurse this is a very exciting opportunity to lead our pre-assessment service. You will run pre-assessment clinics for our inpatient and day case services and work closely with consultants across our specialities to provide appropriate care for our patients.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Working alongside our Clinical Nurse Manager to develop and review new patient processes as well as contributing to quality improvement.
- Ensuring that clinical risk assessments are undertaken to the appropriate level prior to admission and using the information pro-actively.
- Assessing patients' health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
- Assisting in the delivery of care to meet individuals' health and well-being needs.
- Promoting best practice in health and safety and security.
Who we are looking for
You will be a registered nurse with a positive attitude to developing and expanding your nursing skills. You will have previous experience in running pre-assessment clinics and will be innovative and forward thinking. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with the multidisciplinary team to guarantee that the service runs effectively.
You will also be able to demonstrate competence across a range of nursing skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge and will possess the mandatory training requirements for the role. In addition to this, you will also be keen to develop your own knowledge further as well as that of others.
It is essential that you are able to demonstrate that you care for others. You will enjoy team working as well as being able to work with minimum supervision and will have a flexible and adaptable approach to your work.
You will be able to demonstrate that you take the initiative and ownership for tasks and carry out your work with pride and enthusiasm.
Location
The Montefiore Hospital is located on the corner of Davigdor Road and Montefiore Road in Hove, BN3 1RD. Although staff parking is limited the number 7 bus stop is at our front door and we are ideally located between Brighton and Hove train stations. Some offsite car parking will be available.
