Really Important End-Of-Season Information!
TOPIC #1: Grace, Home Schoolers, LCA.
We knew they were going to be rough matches.
Both the JV and the varsity have played their hearts out. I’ve been really impressed by the girls’ motivation and heart. Yesterday vs. LCA I couldn’t have been more proud of the varsity team. Winning would have been great, but the varsity girls gave everything they had. CONGRATS to Callie & to Lisa who did a great job in a stressful situation. CONGRATS to the three juniors………you’re awesome!! Congrats to Sara, who did a great job coming back from her injury!! Congrats to Bmac! Great digging!! Congrats Chelsea, you’re never stop cheering for your team!!
TOPIC #2: This weeks’ Varsity Schedule
Tuesday, of course, it’s NC at home, and that’s senior night.
The Conference: Grace & EM were both undefeated and played on Thursday night. Grace won. It appears that we’ll finish 7th, so on Thursday #7 RCS will travel to #2 EM for the first round of the conference tournament. If there’s any change, I’ll let you know immediately!!
If we win, we will play again on Saturday. The Saturday schedule will be attached to another email.
TOPIC #3: JV’s and Their Opportunities This Week.
The 8th and 10th graders are invited to dress out with the varsity team for all matches this week.
If a girl wants to dress with the varsity on Tues or Thurs, she will not leave until the match is over. THANK YOU 8th & 10th graders for staying the entire match yesterday vs. LCA. I enjoyed having you guys with us and I hope that you enjoyed it!!
If a JV girl wants to dress with the varsity team on Thursday, she is required to attend the entire varsity practice on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm. If a JV girl wants to take this deal, I need her or her parent to email me to let me know!
TOPIC #4: One Final Match!
Varsity AND JV parents & players: We may schedule one more match on Fri 10/24 or Mon 10/27. It will be a local match, very local! We’ll give you as much notice as possible. I have my reasons for doing this, and I think you’d agree with me!!
TOPIC #5: Varsity and JV: Hosting the Final Four on Saturday 10/25……
I know that the varsity girls have already made plans to be playing vball on Saturday at RCS. But in case we get beat on Thursday, I’ll need for all varsity girls to be ready to help with the final four on Saturday. More info on that will be coming to you soon! JV’s: Coach Teel has already spoken to you about helping. See all of you guys there also!!
TOPIC #6: TEAM PICTURES
Don’t forget. JV team pics will begin at 3:30pm on Tuesday. Varsity team pics will begin approx. 3:45. This is the agenda:
JV Team; JV Individuals; JV & Varsity Team; Varsity Team; Varsity Individuals.
Girls & parents: I don’t know how much this will cost. But I’m telling the photographer to not make any pics unless he’s paid in advance. I’ll let you know asap how much the pics will be.
TOPIC #7: VARSITY…….I can’t tell when the season will end!
We may be practicing on Friday, maybe not. I know that you’re not in school.
We may be practicing next Monday, maybe not.
TOPIC #8: The State Tournament
I’ve been told by someone in charge of the state tournament, that we’ll be invited to participate in the State Tournament if we are ranked 8th in the final poll. They lady also told me that our final ranking won’t be known on NOVEMBER 2nd! Oh, my.
