Archaeology Elective Please can all pupils in the archaeology elective coming to Culloden return their money (£3), reply slip and medical consent form ASAP to Ms Tiddy or Mrs Strachan. Deadline for monies is Tuesday in registration otherwise you will not be able to go on the trip on Wednesday.

Reminder that you will need a packed lunch, sensible shoes and jacket, money for the shop and lots of enthusiasm.

Computer Game Competition Information has been given to your register teacher regarding a competition to design a computer game. This is being led by The Moray Council and Moray College. If you are interested in entering this competition then please pick up an application form and information from your register teacher. If additional applications are required then please see K Grant in G21. The closing date for entries is the 31st October 2016. (KJG)

Couch to 5K – The club will take place on the last week of term. Sessions are Monday 3:30pm-4:00pm and Wednesday 1:05pm-1:30pm. Different workout options are offered to suit all levels of fitness. Come along and get active! See Mr Davis for more info

Advanced Higher Inorganic Chemistry Study Class – This will now take place on Tuesday after school 3.30pm to 4.30pm. We will be answering practice inorganic questions, so bring your inorganic extra questions white part one booklet with you if you are attending. Thanks (R Gray, Chemistry G25)

Switch off Fortnight From the 14th to the 27th of November we are asking the school to take part in the switch off fortnight. This allows the schools energy usage to be lowered and will help us towards achieving our green flag because it is part of our energy topic. During these 2 weeks surveys will be taken of the classrooms to see what electrical appliances have been left on or off. Thank you from the Eco Committee.

Staff Messages on Bottles National Poetry Day is on Thursday, with the theme of Messages and staff have joined in and written messages on bottles. These are now on display in the library, bobbing from the ceiling. Who do you think should win? Answers to the library desk please.

Postcards and Tweets To celebrate National Poetry Day on Thursday, with its theme of messages, S6 pupils have composed tweets to S1s and these short messages, full of tips and advice, are now on display in the library. S1 pupils are writing messages on to postcards and these can be seen in the library this week.

Library at Lunchtimes This Week The library will be closed at lunchtime tomorrow and Wednesday of this week. Sorry. Open on Thursday and Friday as usual.

S1 – S3

Mrs Burpitt’s S3 Chemistry Classes – Trip to Johnstons. Please meet in Canteen by pupil entrance/bus bay at 1:25pm on Wednesday for a sharp 1:30pm departure time. All consent forms and money must be handed to Mrs Burpitt between now and Wednesday afternoon in G27, otherwise you will be unable to attend and will attend classes as normal. Any questions about the trip see Mrs Burpitt in G27.

Art – 2.123S (Mrs Lee’s rotation). Clay mugs are fired and ready to collect. You have until the end of term to collect them from the Art department.

S2 AND S3 CAMERA CLUB Hello Camera enthusiasts, great session last Wednesday going over camera settings. This week bring in your jewellery, make-up, funny hats etc as we look at portraiture and ways of enhancing facial features and figures. Hope to see you there Wednesday the 4th3.20 – 4.20pm in B39. Nature Photography Competition Can be any kind of nature photography e.g birds, insects, flowers, landscapes, rivers etc. Enter to have your photos featured in the next newsletter and you can enter as many times as you want.
