Congratulations! You are invited to enter and present your science project in theCollier Regional Science and Engineering Fair on Friday, January 19th, from 9:00 AM until about 12:00 noon at NORTH COLLIER REGIONAL PARKin Naples. The address is 15000 Livingston Rd., Naples FL 34109.

PROJECT CHECK-IN

Thursday, January 18th

All required forms must have beenreviewed by the Collier Scientific Review Committee on January 11th. Approved forms must then be submitted on or before project check-in.

FORMS ~ completed (typed), dated, and signed (blue ink) FORMS must be reviewed by the Collier SRC

b) CHECKLIST FOR ADULT SPONSOR FORM (1)

d) RESEARCH PLAN ATTACHMENTS

i. Question (Problem), Hypothesis, Variables (independent, dependent, control, constants)

ii. EXPERIMENT PROCEDURE AND DATA ANALYSIS PLAN (1A)

iii. BIBLIOGRAPHY (1A)

e) APPROVAL FORM (1B)

f) RISK ASSESSMENT FORM (3)

g) SSEF ABSTRACT FORM 2012

h) You must also INCLUDE ALL ADDITIONAL FORMS REQUIRED for your project.

You must check in and set up your science project at the North Collier Regional Park in Naples on Thursday between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. You must arrange your own transportation. You may not check in or set up your science fair project display on Friday.

TO CHECK IN YOUR PROJECT YOU MUST TURN IN THE FOLLOWING BEFORE 6:00 PM:

1) Certification form from the Collier Scientific Review Committee meeting showing all required forms were submitted, reviewed and approved. (Or corrected forms that were previously reviewed and not approved but were given permission to be corrected at the Collier Scientific Review Committee meeting on Monday.)

2) SIGNED FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIP

3) PROJECT DISPLAY ~ free of spelling and grammatical errors. Make all necessary corrections.

JUDGING

Friday, January 19th

Bring a book to read and sack lunch. Be at your school by 8:00 AMor the designated time to ride the school bus that will transport you to the science fair. You must be at your project and be ready to be judged before 9:00 AM. The science fair judging begins at 9:00 AM and continues until approximately 12:00noon. A bus will then transport you back to your school.

  • PLEASE DRESS MODESTLY AND APPROPRIATELY
  • STAY AT YOUR PROJECT DISPLAY UNTIL YOU ARERELEASED
  • STUDENTS MUST LET THEIR SCIENCE TEACHER KNOW IF THEY LEAVE WITH THEIR PARENT

AWARDS

Saturday, January20th**AT GOLDEN GATE HIGH SCHOOL**

Super Science Saturday will be held in conjunction with CCPS STEAM Conference from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. During this time the top 40 science projects will be available for public viewing and a series of fun science activities will be available to participate in. All students are encouraged to attend and will automatically be registered. The science fair awards ceremony will immediately follow in the Golden Gate High School Auditoriumfrom 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A list of the students who will be receiving an award will be posted on the Collier Regional Science Fair website Friday evening. You must arrange your own transportation to and from the awards ceremony. Student projects must be picked up and removed immediately after the awards ceremony.
