SFTN is delighted to offer four emerging producers the opportunity to attendToronto International Film Festival in September 2017.

TIFF is the leading public film festival providing a fantastic launchpad for the best international cinema where exceptional filmmakers showcase their work to over 4000 registered industry professionals.

Starting out in 1976 as a collection of films from other festivals, the Toronto International Film Festival has become one of the most successful cinematic events in the world, universally regarded as an ideal platform to premiere films.

Boasting a public eager for the best in contemporary film, as well as international attention from media, distributors, producers and buyers along with a galaxy of stars, the Toronto International Film Festival is considered the premiere film festival in North America.

The TIFF Industry programme offers a number of professional development opportunities for registered delegates focusing on a wide array of topics relevant to the industry, from financing and co-producing, to marketing and distribution, and the future of cinema.

SFTN is now seeking applications from emerging producers working towards a feature who would benefit from attending TIFF later this year. SFTN will cover flights and up to five nights accommodation between Thursday 7th – Tuesday 12th September. We will also cover your TIFF industry accreditation and provide a set daily subsistence allowance (repayable on receiving receipts within a set time limit).

A representative of SFTN will be present during the festival to assist in setting up a number of small informal meetings with industry professionals to help you find out more about audiences and markets in other territories. We’d also expect selected producers to utilise the opportunity to network as widely as possible.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this opportunity you mist fulfill all the following criteria:

· You are aged 18 or over

· You are based in Scotland

· You are not in full time education at time of submission or throughout the dates of attendance
