1. Dates of Nominations for championships

A lot of Federations do their nominations very late.

The preliminary date: If you do not know all names or how many lifters will go to a meet, you can give only an approximate number (athletes + officials) so the organiser can plan for the hotel rooms etc.. Any names given in the preliminary nomination may be changed or corrected in the final nomination.

If the final nomination is not received within the specific date (latest 21 days prior to a championships) a fine of EUR 40 for each lifter and officials may be fined payable to the promoter.

If a nation does not intend to send any lifters or officials, the organiser will highly appreciate to be informed at the time of the preliminary nomination date.

If a nation does not state it’s non-attendance within the final nomination date (latest 21 days prior to the championships) he may be fined EUR 30.

Please co-operate with all organisers to send your preliminary, non-attendance and final nominations within the time limits to avoid any fines.

2. Resigning as Doping officer. When I was asked to take on the duty as EPF Doping officer I was not very happy. Later the IPF DC chairman recommended me not to combine the duty as General Secretary and Doping officer as well as my lawyer also found such combination not beneficial.

So, I will resign from that EPF office.

3. The Results from the European Juniors 2003 in Sofia Nymburk Czechia is enclosed.

It was a realy good organised meet with a lot of good results. The 2 lady-speakers did a very good job. Special were the loaders working good and very fast. So gratulation to the Czech federation for all theit work to organize these Juniors in Nymburk

4. Other Information.

A.) MembershipfeeMost nations have now paid the membership fee 2003 except the following:

GEO, BLR, CYP, BHG. They should have paid before END of June. So, I must according to the EPF Constitution suspend them from activities in the EPF. These federations have to pay 310 € in membership fee, for being 6 moths too late, to again gain EPF membership.

B. A questionnaire was sent out in November
to fill in the federation’s EC members. Still 7 nations did not return it with required informations.
