SUPPORT GROUPS

This form must be completed, signed by the principal and faxed to B.J. Guzzardo at 225-296-5919 no later than 4:00 PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in order to prepare for pick up at the meeting on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the LHSAA office.

------IMPORTANT------

Only legitimate members of your performing groups that have performed all year and their sponsors/coach will be allowed admittance into the Superdome.

Please be aware that all bands and members of all support groups, with the exception of the cheerleaders, will be seated in sections in the stands and not on the dome floor as in previous years. For this reason, support groups may not bring any food or drink in the Superdome.

Admission of Pep Squad

SPECIAL LHSAA POLICIES AND PRACTICES

Due to abuses of the policy of admitting pep squad members free of admission into the Superdome Classic, the following policy will apply for the 2011 LHSAA /STATE FARM PREP CLASSIC and will be strictly enforced.

To be admitted free of admission:

1. All pep squad members must enter through the south gates on Girod Street.

1. All members must wear an especially designed pep squad uniform that clearly identifies the individual as a member of the school’s pep squad.

1. All pep squad members should perform on the field with the band at halftime in some manner.

1. All members must be accompanied by a school chaperone who must present the attached form completed and signed by the school principal at the back gate.

1. An LHSAA representative at the back gate will verify the count of pep squad members.

1. Pep squad members must remain off the playing surface at all times except when performing at halftime.

1. Any member not complying with policies #1, #2, and #3 must present a ticket upon entering.

Any violation of policies will result in the participating school being assessed the cost of participating student (general admission) for the number of pep squad members who fail to comply with policies #1, #2, and #3. That amount in ticket admission will be deducted from the team guarantee.

Please complete the attached form in this booklet and have your pep squad chaperone present it to an LHSAA representative upon entering at the South gate.

Support Group Bus Passes

NOTE: Fan buses are not eligible for the bus pass. Superdome Management has sole authority as to bus parking and prices for bus parking. The SD parking management wants to insure that the school teams and support groups have a place to park.

Fan buses and Motor Homes should contact the Superdome Parking Office, before their arrival, to secure information about the price (if any) and a place to park.

Support Group Escorts

INSTRUCTIONS: Please list the names of your team and support group escorts and check if they will/will not carry their weapon in the dome.

1. Escorts must be in uniform.
2. Escorts may carry their weapon.
3. Escorts may be on the dome floor.
4. Escorts may not stand along the sidelines or be in team bench areas.
5. Escorts do not have jurisdiction in the dome.
