Post-Race Reception

Post-Race Reception

Virgin London Marathon 2012

Post-Race Reception

You can join us after you finish the race and get your well earned massage and refuel with some food. A small number of shower’s will be provided (please bring your own towel).

Location

The In and Out, Naval and Military Club, No. 4 St James's Square, London, SW1Y 4JU

The In and Out is located on the right hand corner of St James Square (flying a union jack flag on the building). It is a short walk from the end of the race.

Getting to the Reception (Runners)

Once you have finished the race and been through the various “checkpoints” (returning your timing chip, collecting your kitbag, and receiving your medal…) you will find yourself on the Mall, at the north edge of St James Park (see map). There are various meeting points on Horse Guards Road, ranging from A-Z. We shall post volunteers at “MeetingPointM” who will accompany you on the short walk to the post-race reception.

We strongly advise that you arrange to meet your friends and family at the post-race reception because the finish area around St James Park is very, very busy. It is also almost impossible to get through on a mobile phone due to the network high demand of calls and texts.

Please also familiarise yourself with how to get back to the reception in case there is no one at the meeting point when you get there. Whilst we do our best to ensure there is always a friendly face and an orange t-shirt waiting for you, in such a busy place it is difficult to guarantee.
