Dan will be on call for the duration. He is at the show on the Monday and will stay on if anyone knows they will be arriving with a problem. On Tuesday he will be at Bicton all day. He will not be there on Wednesday but may be able to come on request.

Catering–There will be no catering in Exmouthon Tuesday but there are shops nearby.There is a new Marks and Spencer food store next to the leisure centre. There will be catering at Bicton Arena on Wednesday31st May by Kennaford Farm.

NOTES

Stabling

All those who have booked will have a stable allocated at Bicton Arena.

ARRIVAL

As you know, we have been asked not to arrive until after 6pm on Monday. This will inevitably mean that it will be very busy that evening so please take note of the stewards instructions when you arrive.

We will be asking people to unload their horses in the designated place but to then move on to their camping spot and unload their kit from there.

Stables will be labeled with your name.

Bicton staff will be on hand at the big shed if you require bedding.

Camping

There is plenty of space for camping and good facilities. Showers take 50p so bring some coins. All lorries / tents should have a fire extinguisher.

There are electric hook-ups. If you want to use these please contact and pay Bicton staff.

Please park sensibly ensuring there is room for people to exit if they require.

Rubbish - removing rubbish is a costly item, so please crush all your items as much as possible before putting in the rubbish bags – or take it home with you.

Exercising.Please only exercise in the designated areas which will be displayed at the stables.

Shooting.

This year we are again in the Leisure Centre at the same venue as the swimming. There is limited space there so we have been asked to leave the centre between phases.

There are plenty of shops, cafes and takeaways close by and the beach to go to if it is fine.There is a new Marks and Spencer food store next to the leisure centre

The two ranges are in different hallsas last year. We have tried to put gun shares in the same range for your convenience.

There will be someone based in reception to welcome you and direct you. We have to ensure we abide by the Leisure Centres requests and don’t overburden their staff with queries. Please respect them and do as you are asked

Swimming

You need £1 for lockersotherwise there will be clothes awash on the floor.

Nowelliesor muddy shoes please in the Leisure Centre.

They do not allow charging mobile phones at the Leisure Centre.

Riding.

The ride phase will be in number order starting with the open classes.

Please note riding times given are approximate. Please be aware of numbers, be ready in good time and present for tack check during your warm up.

Those people sharing horses have been allowed ample time but if you are not happy please ask the steward and you will be allowed out of order if possible.

Hats must be tagged with either the white PC tag or the red BE tag. See PC Rule Book for standards.

Body Protectors.All members must be wearing a body protector which meets the BETA 2009 Level 3 Standard (purple Label). The BETA 2000 is no longer permitted in Pony Club. Please note where your purple label is (it will be on the outside) as the tack inspector will want to see it.

Medical Armbands must be worn for the Riding Phase for all classes.

Spurs certificates must be available if asked for.

Please provide your own BE type number bibs. (Number inserts will be supplied).

RIDE NUMBERS will be available in the marquee

Running

The run is in a new place where there is more room for group running.

The run will be in groups of approximately10 competitors within classes.

Classes will run in the following order – open followed by minis,intermediate and finally juniors, i.e.the class order is 1,2,9.10.3,4,5,6,7 and finally 8

The running times may be delayed if there are delays in the riding phase.If an individual has a problem with a delay in the riding you may be able to run with another group at the same distance as long as the stewards are informed.

Rosettes:

  • Individuals to Sixth in each Class
  • Branch Teams- to Fourth in each Class.
  • Inter Area Teams to Third in each Class
  • Best Shoot, Swim, Run and 1400 ride in each Class

Prize GivingThere will be a prize giving at the end of each level approximately halfan hour after the results are announced.We hope to have a loudspeaker from the marquee to the stables so we can keep you informed

This Competition will run to the rules of the 2017Tetrathlon Rule Book. The rule book can be found online on the Pony Club website – just googleTetrathlon rules.

Dog: To be kept on a lead at all times. Please clean up after them in all areas.

Legal Liability

Neither the Organizers, nor any person acting on their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, competitors, spectators or any person or property whatsoever; whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever

Health and Safety

The Organizers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organizer and all the Officials and Stewards

Directions and Parking

Exmouth Leisure Centre

From M5 - Come off at J30 and followA 376to Exmouth - 1st left off roundabout below motorway, get into right hand lane and then take 3rd exit off next roundabout; continue on this road to Exmouth.

Into Exmouth, bear right at lights, following signs to Sea Front. Over next lights, then right at roundabout following signs to the Station. Right at mini roundabout, signed Station. The Leisure Centre car park is on your right.

From Bicton - Turn right at bottom of drive; through Yettington; carefully straight over X roads, (ignoring signed left turn to Exmouth). Go into the middle of Woodbury and turn left atsmall X roads just past Post Office and pedestrian crossing, signed Lympstone and Exmouth. Stay on this road until you meet the A376 Exeter to Exmouth road, turn leftand carry on as above.

Parking in Exmouth - There are 3 car parks by the Leisure Centre – You will need coins for metres.

  • Closest is the 'Short Stay' which will charge you £1/hr up to a max of 3 hrs.
  • Next is there is a smallStation Car Park which charges £4.40 for all day; and finally
  • The large 'Long Stay' Car Park which will charge you £1/hror £6 all day.
  • There was some trouble for people travelling by lorry and parking at the Leisure centre. Please note that there is another car park at the back of the Leisure Centre where lorries can park.
  • Make sure you by the appropriate ticket for the Park you end up in !
  • No entry to the Pool except via the changing rooms.
  • No charging of Mobile phones at the Leisure Centre.
  • Please can competitors and their parents wear indoor shoes inside the leisure centre.

At the next roundabout take 1st exit onto the B3179. Go through Woodbury, continue over crossroads and through Yettington.Bicton Arena is on the left just after the village.
