-Up 3.1 % in credit hours
-Exceeded revenue goal, graduate and out-of-state were higher than expected. 103% budget for Fall 2017
Concerns -
-Reviewing academic program recruitment
-Increased high school enrollment and full-time enrollment
-We’ve lost ground with adults past two years
-This mirrors the national trend - National economy better, typically adult enrollment drops
-A few years ago, we changed how we work with adults - Removing the ‘navigator’ positions may have hurt us
-Updating the marketing plan to work with adult market better
-180,000 in Maine started a degree and did not finish!
-How do we get the degree completers to come back
-We had 4% increase in academic online programs
Retention is our biggest issue
-Music - numbers are very high
-Athletics -We retain and have higher student satisfaction rate
-Working on building community
-Residence hall students are up - 107% occupancy
-No more bayside dorms
-Residence hall renovations are occurring this summer
-PCE even budget and numbers as last year
-USM is losing undecided students
Thoughts from ProSen
-Allow PLA to count credits within majors
-Connecting the two year degree programs - and moving towards 4 year
-More robust online programs (Veterans Services would find this very helpful) All active duty military.
-PLA covered by financial aid
-Incentivize LAC nursing programs

Differences about how people feel
What do they know? What do they understand about diversity?
President interested in a plan the community has input in
Relationships
They’ve engaged consultant
Thoughts from ProSen -
How does this fit into the community inclusion modules?
We’ve looked at things before, but perhaps never had follow up and follow through at the level needed?
Please work to capture feedback from all groups. Varying schedules
Communicate widely and often
