In this short manual we will walk you thru the basic steps of using Bidspeed.

Completing My Account

This will be the image you first see when you log into your Bidspeed account, Welcome!

The first thing you must do is create your own profile under the My Account heading, to do so

Click on My Accountas shown below:

Once you are in My Account, click on (click to edit) the top left Sub Pane, as shown below:

Within My Account You Will Need the Following:

  • Classification Code:Which is the classification of the product or service your company provides.

Letters represent services and numbers represent products. The classification categories are provided for you within the Bidspeed website.

Simply click on the drop down menu under classification code in My Account, as shown below, and choose the main classification your company falls under:

  • NAICS Code: North American Classification System. Is used by the statisticalagencies in classifying businesses establishments for statistical data related U.S. businesses economy.

The idea is to start broad and then go narrow, with the NAICS Codes that describe your business.

So we recommend that you add all NAICS Codes your business does business under first.

If you do not have a NAICS Code please click on the link below:

  • DUNS Number:Duns and Bradstreet (D&B) is a provider of credit information on businesses and corporations. This number is a means of identifying businesses entities on a location-specific-basis and is required by the federal government for contractors or grants.

This number is needed first, before you can obtain a CAGE CODE.

If you do not have a DUNS Number please click on the link below:

It should take 1 day to obtain a DUNS Number

  • CAGE Code:Is a five digit code which identifies companies doing or wishing to do businesses with the Federal Government. This number is also used to support a variety of mechanized systems throughout the government. In order to obtain a CAGE Code you will first need to register with the CCR: Central Contractor Registration. For more information about the CAGE Code and access to the CCR website please click on the link below:

In order to register with the CCR you will also first need to have a DUNS Number.

Within CCR website click on Start New Registration as shown below:

Then fill out the following document:

  • Set-Aside Code:

Part of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) implements the acquisition- related sections of the Small Business Act, which states that federal agencies conduct a variety ofprocurements that are reserved partially or totally for small business participation. Fed Biz Opps supports the following set aside codes based on the FAR Part 19 and other government acquisition regulations:

To choose your Set-Aside Categories within Bidspeed click on the arrow as shown below, and choose from the table. If you would like to choose multiple categories use Ctrl.

Changing My Account Later

If you would like to change the profile of My Account later, simply click on:

Account (click to edit) as shown below

Once you have My Account set up you will want to add

  • Important Documents (Capability Statement)
  • Account Users

Adding Documents to My Account (Capability Statement)

One of the benefits of Bidspeed is the ability to keep all of your important documents regarding government contracts in one place which can be easily accessed and edited by yourself and those whom you choose to allow access.

We recommend you download your capability statement to your Bidspeed account.

A capability statement is a brief descriptionof your company. This statement will include an outline of yourcompany’s capabilities and expertise.

First log into your Bidspeed account and click on My Account as shown:

On your lower left hand side within My Account, you will see Account Document, click on >New to the right of Account Document as shown below:

You will then be taken to the Account Document (new) page; here you can determine the type, name, title, description and upload documents:

  • Typeyou can identify what type of document this is from our drop down box selection as shown:
  • Name is where you can name and upload documents to your Bidspeed account as shown:
  • Title Will be shown on your dashboard as a short description for the name of the document
  • Description Is a more in depth description of the document

Adding Account Users to My Account

One of the benefits of using Bidspeed is that you can add account users to your Bidspeed team, so others whom you choose can view and edit your account. This is beneficial because you have the power to appoint tasks to others, make sure everyone is aware of deadlines and actions taken regarding a contract. It is a convenient way tomanage documents securely and share them with other users in your account.

First log into your Bidspeed account and click on My Account as shown:

On the left hand column of your My Account screen you will see Account Users, to the right of that is >New, click on >New as shown below:

Enter the users name and email address as shown below:

The user will be assigned a temporary password. After you click “save” Bidspeed will send the new user an email explaining how to login. The new user will now be able to access your Bidspeed account and contribute towards your Government contract efforts.
