Pingora Asset Management LLC, (“Pingora”), is a specialized asset manager focused on investing in and servicing of new production performing mortgage servicing right (“MSR”) portfolios.

Pingoracurrently employs 21 professionals and is seeking to hire a Mortgage Capital Markets Associate who will be responsible for the management of agency loan sales/delivery, pooling, trade execution, rate sheet production, collateral management, and relationship management with loan investors and loan originators. The company is currently focused deploying private capital across agency mortgage servicing rights or similar asset classes and is actively managing a portfolio of residential mortgage servicing in excess of $18 billion in UPB. The position will be working closely with sales, risk and the executive management teamwhile being a key player of the portfolio management team.

The candidate will be well versed in all aspects of the mortgage market, including conforming and non-conforming products, and continuously monitor the competitive and regulatory landscape to evaluate existing and new product opportunities.

The Mortgage Capital Markets Associatewill be accountable for the successful execution in key areas of focus, including:

  • Best execution analysis & successful operational execution of loan sales
  • Monitor program/pricing updates from investor(s) and implement appropriate changes
  • Perform daily operations related to pricing, hedging and loan sales
  • Participating in the design, implementation, and adherence to loan sale policies and procedures and governance
  • Work closely with vendors and investors on all product and pricing related matters
  • Monitoring competitive and regulatory landscape for product and pricing opportunities and implications
  • Align pricing to be consistent, taking into account production, capacity, and conversion targets
  • Build new processes and/or streamline existing processes to facilitate loan sales
  • Successfully execute all assigned projects within target completion timeframe
  • Ensure that the secondary marketing activities are executed in a sound and well governed manner with the risk exposure consistently managed within established risk tolerances

Education and Experience Qualifications –

  • B.A / B.S college degree required in Finance or related degree
  • 3-5 years of experience with a Mortgage originator in a secondary marketing/capital markets or equivalent role
  • Demonstrated success in managing market and liquidity risk
  • Product and pricing expertise in agency and non-agency products
  • Exhibit strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Have specific knowledge on mortgage primary and secondary marketing including agency requirements, pooling and delivery, and hedging practices
  • Ability to integrate overall business strategy and apply that to the team’s direction and focus
