Performance Rating Report and Professional Growth Plan Procedures

I.Probationary Staff (ninety (90)-day period)

A.Attend an informational meeting conducted by administrator by October 1 at assigned program.

Informational meeting for staff hired after October 1 will be conducted during check-in at Central Office by administration.

B.Evaluation to be completed within the probationary period of ninety (90) days.

1.Observations

a)Prior scheduling at the building/program level
b)Pre-observation meeting if requested by either party
c)Observation completed by an administrator
d)Input from supervising certified/licensed staff member
e)ESP may complete a self-evaluation using the Performance Rating Report prior to the observation.

2.Summative Performance Rating Report

a)Final report presented to employee.

b)A conference between the administrator, ESP, and the immediate supervisor may be held at the request of any party.

c)ESP may submit an explanation or any other written statement regarding Performance Rating Report to be placed in the personnel file.

II.Non-Probationary Staff Years 1-2

A.Attend an informational meeting conducted by administrator by October 1 at assigned program.

B.Yearly evaluations are required

C.Evaluation shall be completed by March 15

1.Observations

a)Prior scheduling of any observations shall be completed at the building/program level.
b)Pre-observation meeting if requested by either party
c)Observations completed by an administrator
d)Input from supervising certified/licensed staff member
e)ESP may complete a self-evaluation using the Performance Rating Report prior to the observation.

2.Summative Performance Rating Report

a)Final report presented to employee.

III.Non-Probationary Staff Years 3 and up

A.Attend an informational meeting conducted by administrator by October 1 at assigned programs.

B.Biennial evaluations are required

1.Additional evaluations may be conducted at the request of ESP,certified/licensed staff or administrator

2.Additional evaluations may be conducted upon a change in assignment

C.Evaluation shall be completed by March 15.
