TEMPORARY PASSPORT: / For urgent travel needs, a temporary passport may be issued valid for one journey only. This passport must be returned to the issuing authority upon return. Same fee as above.

Parents must give their consent in writing for passport issued to a child under the age of 18. If parents have joint custody, at least one of them must accompany the child to the passport office, and produce proof of his or her own identity in addition to that of the applicant (see first page). The absent parent must send his or her written consent together with an official proof of identity bearing a photo and signature (passport, driver’s license, bank card, etc.). Proof of sole responsibility for the child (awarded by a court order or agreement) must be shown. If the child is in the care of the child welfare service, written consent from the service is required. In the case of persons who are declared incapable of managing their affairs, written consent from the appointed guardian is required.
