The post

This post will be working within the Fundraising Team. The department has a fundraising target of £3.7 million.

Pancreatic Cancer UK is a fast growing charity. Your role will be to support our fundraising activities through the timely processing of all income so that the charity can continue to expand and grow.

Mainresponsibilities

To provide efficient administrative support to the Fundraising Team and to maintain accurate records on the charity’s database.

Deliver an effective banking and thanking process for submitted sponsorship and donations, accurately recording income and liaising with the Finance Team when necessary.

Ensure that financial processes run smoothly and that donations are captured, coded and thanked within agreed timescales.

To acknowledge and receipt all donations within three working days of receipt.

To manage in memory donations and set up tribute funds for individuals when requested.

Develop and maintain relationships with supporters to ensure the success of theirfundraising endeavours.

Database support

To update Raisers Edge on a daily basis with supporter and gift information.

To record and update non-financial information provided by supporters, such asGift Aid declarations, data protection opt outs, pledges and other personal information.

Assist with merchandise payment and processing when needed.

Financial support

Manage the processing of all online donations i.e Justgiving, Virgin Money Giving,postal donations, vouchers and BACs payments.

Conduct weekly Standing Order queries, setting up regular giving donations, checking the receipt of donations and contacting lapsed donors.

To respondto requestsand queries relating to fundraising donations.This will mainly befrom supporters, the Fundraising Team and Finance Team.

To make sure that the charity bank statements reconcile with data on the charity database.

To pro-actively develop and maintain excellent relationships with volunteers, fundraisers and the Fundraising Team to deliver an excellent, timely and accurate customer service experience to our supporters.

Administrative duties

To answer telephone enquiries and respond or direct to others in the organisation as required.

To develop a good understanding of the supporter CRM database (Raiser’s Edge), to follow best practice procedures for recording fundraising data,

To provide support and undertake other administrative activities relating to fundraising and events (e.g. mass mailings) when required.

Community and fundraising events

To respond to basic queries about any fundraising initiatives or events taking place, keeping up to datethrough meetings, reports and questions.

Team working

To support the Fundraising Team on National events, Third Party events, Special events, Community events and Corporate activities as required.

To ensure stories and case studies are passed onto the Communications Team, and to work constructively with the Services and Information Team and Involvement Manager as required.

Other duties

To contribute to the continuous development of activities, systems and processes relating to all aspects of fundraising and event administration.

To represent Pancreatic Cancer UK at external events, these may be outside of office hours and at weekends.

To take on any other fundraising and related duties as required.

Educated to degree level, with good literacy and numeracy / Essential
Experience of working in fundraising or marketing within a charity / Desirable
Knowledge and experience of the charity sector / Desirable
