FINAL WEEKS FOR ATLANTA HISTORY CENTER'S LINCOLN EXHIBITION

–Closing Weekend Activities on Saturday November 6th and Sunday November 7th Bring History to Life –

Have you seen the Atlanta History Center's With Malice Toward None: The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Exhibition yet? If not, you have to see it! But, you will have to hurry as it closes November 7, 2010.

This must see exhibition, organized by the Library of Congress, showsLincoln up close and personal like never before! It features the best collection of Lincoln artifacts you’ll ever see in one place – many exhibited for the first time. And it’s not just artifacts. It’s videos, photographs, interactive computer stations, and some really cool multimedia programs.

In the final weeks, visitors will enjoy Lincoln inspired programs such as Family FunDays with Abe Lincolnon Saturday, October 30, 2010 and A Celebration of Lincoln’s Life and Legacy: Exhibition Closing Weekendon Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7, 2010. These programs are best bets for visitorswho look beyond the exhibition to further immerse themselves into the experience of fun intertwined with history. This is where audience experience goes beyond the exhibit doors and the subject matter jumps to life through lively interaction with living history interpreters, observing demonstrations, and enjoying performances.

This program invites visitors to learn about Lincoln’s legacy by first following his funeral procession and experiencing the country’s grief over his death.

  • Enjoy the sounds of the Civil War Era performed by celebrated musician Bobby Horton
  • Meet and interact with Civil War re-enactors
  • Watch the film: Echoes of the Blue and Grey: Civil War Veterans
  • Take in live performance of Letters to Lincoln play
  • Watch Lincoln's funeral gun salute
  • Explore guided exhibition tours of With Malice Toward None
  • Take pleasure in a variety of craft activities
