Rectory Brick Work – Front Wall

As mentioned in our Bulletin last fall the rectory front wall has deteriorated with the brick facing cracked and fallen. This problem has occurred in the past and a temporary fix was to replace the bricks with bricks that did not match the original. The original is not available therefore after much discussion as to the best solution, the Property and Finance Committee agreed to replace the front wall using field stone that is donated to the parish and brick that will be similar in colour to the original brick. Very shortly you will have more details from the Financial and Property Committee on this work and further work that needs to be done to the exterior of the rectory and the church.
