Topics have information and learning activities for that topic. Most pages build skills and knowledge as you progress(go through) through the pages. The pages may:

  • contain text, images or video
  • contain an activity
  • link to an interactive activity (in a separate pop-up window)
  • link to a text-only version of video or interactive activities.

The last page of each topic has activities so you can practise what you have. If you have difficulties with these tasks you should:

  • work back through the information and activities for the topic
  • look for more information in the Resources section
  • ask your teacher for help.

Activities

The Toolbox contains different types of activities.

Most activities are in the topic window and provide links or text boxes for user input.

For some other interactive activities, you select an activity link and it opens in a new pop-up window.

For these activities to work on your computer, you need a software application called Flash; use the text alternative versionlink:

  • if Flash is not enabled on your browser; or
  • for accessibility (screen readers and keyboard accessibility).

Activity pages

There are two types of activities that can be found in the content area of pages:

  • multi choice activities
  • input box activities

Multi choice activity

This activity has a question with some possible answers. The user selects an answer, and then gets feedback in a popup window based on the selection.

The feedback tells you if the answer is correct or incorrect, and may give comments on the answer. Sometimes with incorrect answers, clues are provided that could help to solve a problem.

Input box activity

In this activity, the user can type an answer into an input box and then select submit for feedback.
In the example above the user has typed the number nineand then selectedsubmit to get feedback. In this case for an incorrect answer, the feedback provides clues that could help the user work out the correct answer.
