Novelties Book Group - Pupils in the Novelties group are excited about books and reading and are keen to share their enthusiasm with others. He will be interviewed by Jacob Holder, Logan Glynn and Jamie Rankin. Other activities are ‘Read This’ posters and Tweet-style book reviews. The group’s bloggers are Beverly Fox and Ellie Mackenzie and reports of all the Novelties’ events, activities and interviews are on The Novelties tab on the library pages of the website: library.elginacademy.co.uk/library/novelties-book-group/

Skate Boarding Club - The trail Skate Boarding Club that ran and the end of last term was a success. The club took pupils down to the Skate Park in Elgin giving them the opportunity to develop their skills under the banner of Elgin Academy and in association with Active Schools. The club is being developed during the winter break. During this time we will consider extending the club to include scooter and bmx enthusiasts as well. The aim after winter is to run the next session from spring to autumn again using the same format. This gives the pupils a chance to use the Skate Park that many of us fought hard to get.
