Notes for Cancer Detecting Package A

  1. If you are takinganticoagulants, such as aspirin, please stop taking it five days prior to the examination day.※Pleaseconsult the physician prescribing it to you to determine if the prescription may be discontinued or replaced with other medication.
  1. Do not eat anything that would affect coagulation such as vitamin tablets, ginkgo, red yeast rice, sodium beans, red ginseng, fish oil ... and so on.
  1. Two days before the examination, you should start a low-residue diet, such as white rice, meat, noodles, egg flower, white toast, white bread, boiled fish and meat. Avoid dairy products, such as milk, yogurt milk, cheese, Yakult, as well as vegetables, sweet potatoes, fruits, rice and whole wheat foods or any other high-fiber foods.
  1. Collect the stool specimen before taking the laxative.
  1. The day before the examination at 5:00 pm take the laxatives (45 cc) with 360 cc of water or unsalted root beer. Make sure the laxatives are diluted. After taking a bottle of the laxatives, you should drink water several times and drink at least 2000cc of water altogether.
  1. The examinee should take four yellow pills (Dulcolax 5mg) the night before the examination day and take them with 120 cc water. If you are concerned about severe diarrhea, then take three yellow pills instead.
  1. Do not drink any water after 12:00 midnight before the examination day. If you are thirsty, you can gargle.
  1. On the examination day, after you get up, do the following:

No water or food until the examination is complete. Please insert the bullet shaped Dulcolax suppository (without the silver casing) into the anus (and wait for 20 minutes for a stool). You can do it at home or in the center.

Head / chest / abdomen MRI

  1. MRI an special inspection that is performed in a magnetic field. Examinees with a pacemaker or those who have metal implants in the body are not suitable for this check up.
  1. During the cerebral MRI, a contrast injection is required. Examinees with severe allergies are not unsuitable for this check. Examinees on the day of the examination must first check their renal function (Cr creatinine values). Only examinees with values under 1.5mg/dl can have the MRI.
  2. Taking an MRI requires the examinee to lie on a narrow, confined examination table. A person with claustrophobia may not be suitable for this check up.
