EDM: Unit 7- We are exploring exponents and negative numbers, exponential notation, exponential notation for powers of 10, and scientific notation.

RW: Memoir-We are continuing to look at books that show us how authors write memoirs that focus on real events in their lives. Small moments of our everyday lives can be made big by writing about them and reflecting on their significance.

WW: Memoir-As writers we are taking the big meanings we uncover and imagine ways we might write small about them. We are choosing a small moment story, to bring out the deeper meaning as we write the story.

PLEASE go to our SAP website, then 5th grade classroom, Killeen, and look on the left side for Biography Project videos and check them out! Chris Turnbull helped us out many days to make this idea happen. So, pop a bag of popcorn after you read this two page newsletter, and enjoy the show! 

As a reminder the 5th Grade Dinner is put on by parents and largely sponsored by parents (with help from SAPSA) to celebrate the 5th grade class before they head off to middle school.

To pull this event off, we need some of your help in meal prep, decorating, and clean-up. Please take a minute to look at this online sign up sheet and sign up for a slot that works for you. The time commitments are minimal, but we can't make this happen without your help.

Online sign up link here...

Lastly, a reminder that if you haven't had a chance to donate towards the dinner and are still wanting to do so, here is the link for doing so or feel free to send a cash or check to school with your student.
* Recommended donation of $15 per student- cash donations or checks payable to "SAPSA" or donate online at:squareup.com/store/st-anthony-park-school-association

If you have any questions or need any clarification, feel free to email me at or txt 651-503-7814.

Many thanks for all the support you give to your student and to SAP,

On behalf of the dinner organizing committee,

Michelle Riehle (Clare Marchant's mom)
