Immigrant Grandparents on the Go for immigrant grandparents and their grandchildren (0 – 5 years old) held at our main site. Our Settlement Worker provides a program for grandparents to learn about Canadian culture, practice English and make connections in their new community. The children learn new skills while having fun in the playroom. Fridays from 12:30–2:30 pm Closed July and August

Funded by the United Way

Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program is for parents of children aged 0 – 5, running for 6 consecutive Thursdays from 1:30 – 3:30 held at our main site. The next session will start in September. Childminding is provided and pre-registration is required.

July 2nd CLOSED for Canada Day

July 3rd Clothing Exchange – free, used children's clothing in the morning and afternoon sessions.

17th ** Please note: the clothing exchange is open to Family Place clients only

July 5th Annual Family Potluck Picnic at Queen's Park. Bring a favorite prepared food dish to share. Family Place will provide hotdogs and juice. Enjoy the playground, spray park, petting farm and more. Meet at the large picnic shelter near the playground. This event will go ahead rain or shine. 10:00 – 2:00

July 18thChild Development Specialist will be here to provide information and answer

questions about resources for children needing extra support. 10:00 – 11:00

July 24thPasta Morning! The children receive a hot pasta snack in the morning session. There will be a nutritious snack served in the afternoon session.

July 27th Birthday Party for all of the children who have had a birthday this month. Be sure to ask if your child is registered in our birthday book.

SUN FUN at the Parks

On Thursdays in July & August from 10 am – 2 pm (weather permitting). Join us at different parks in the City for bubbles, art and outdoor play. Bring a lunch, water bottle, sun screen and hats for you and your children. To enjoy the spray park or wading pool bring a bathing suit or change of clothes and a towel. ***If it is raining we will not go to the park but the regular drop in will be open at Family Place 9:30 – 11:30
