NEW ROUTES and FREQUENCY INCREASE SUPPORT

Lithuanian airports seek to ensure sustainable network development from/to Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga and announce an open call to support:

(1)New routes launch with regular flights from/to Lithuanian airports to another city, which has no current connection, and

(2)Frequency increase with the main European air hubs.

New routes from Vilnius Airport (VNO) to the following airports subject to the support:
Almaty (ALA); Beijing (PEK); Budapest (BUD); Cairo (CAI); Chicago (ORD); Doha (DOH); Dubai (DXB/DWC); Düsseldorf (DUS); Geneva (GVA); Hamburg (HAM); Krakow (KRK); Ljubljana (LJU); Lisbon (LIS); Lyon (LYS); New York (JFK/ EWR); Malaga (AGP); Manchester (MAN); Porto (OPO); Prague (PRG); Rijeka (RJK); Sharjah (SHJ); Sofia (SOF); Split (SPU); Stuttgart (STR); Tbilisi (TBS); Tenerife (TFS/TFN); Thessaloniki (SKG); Tokyo (NRT/HND); Trondheim (TRD); Venice (VCE), Zurich (ZRH).
New routes from Kaunas Airport (KUN) to the following airports subject to the support:
Alghero (AHO); Beijing (PEK); Chicago (ORD); Frankfurt (HHN); Hanover (HAJ); Helsinki (HEL); Kiev (KBP/IEV); Krakow (KRK); Lulea (LLA); Manchester (MAN); Milan (BGY); Minsk (MSQ); Moscow (DME/SVO/VKO/ZIA); New York (JFK/ EWR); Oslo (OSL/TRF); Oulu (OUL);Rijeka (RJK); Thessaloniki (SKG); Stuttgart (STR); Tampere (TMP); Tel Aviv (TLV); Tenerife (TFS/TFN); Tokyo (NRT/HND); Trondheim (TRD); Turku (TKU); Umea (UME); Warsaw (WAW).
New routes from Palanga Airport (PLQ) to the following airports subject to the support:
Aberdeen (ABZ); Billund (BLL); Dublin (DUB); Dusseldorf (DUS); Hamburg (HAM); Helsinki (HEL).

The connectivity increase must be of at least two additional weekly rotations.

Additional flight frequencies from Vilnius Airport (VNO) to the following existing routes shall be subject to the support:
Amsterdam (AMS); Barcelona (BCN); Berlin (TXL); Brussels (BRU); Copenhagen (CPH); Dublin (DUB); Helsinki (HEL) London (LGW/LHR/LCY); Madrid (MAD); Milan (MXP); Moscow (SVO/DME/VKO/ZIA); Oslo (OSL); Munich (MUC); Paris (CDG/ORY); Rome (FCO); Sankt Petersburg (LED); Stockholm (ARN); Tel Aviv (TLV); Vienna (VIE).

The carrier may suggest other new routes or additional frequencies to other existing routes from Vilnius, Kaunas and/or Palanga Airports that are not listed above to SE Lithuanian Airports.

A new route or increase of frequency of regular flights (connectivity) shall be deemed implemented when the airline starts selling tickets for new routes or new frequencies of existing routes.

The maximum aid granted to one airline company hereunder shall be EUR 200.000* in the period of 3 years.

Eligible costs shall be costs incurred by the airlinelaunching new route or frequency:

  • marketing and advertising costs incurred in presenting and/or promoting the new route or frequencies;
  • other costs closely related to the launchednew route or frequencies.

The amount of aid funds shall be nominated taking into account only eligible costs.Up to 100 % of all eligible costs shall be financed.

The deadline for the submission of the Applications is the 23rdMarch2018. The Agreement should be signed and the ticket sales launched no later than 31st March 2018. The new route or additional frequency should be launched no later than 8th June 2018.
