DISMISSAL

If you would like to pick up your child at dismissal please send a note in the morning. We realize that emergencies arise, but we are receiving a huge number of telephones calls at the end of the day from parents wanting their child put on the pick-up list. The end of the day in the office is hectic, as you can imagine, so to ensure that your child knows where they are supposed to be please make those arrangements before they come to school in the morning.

SANTA'S SECRET SHOP

Santa’s Secret Shop has been a huge success this week due to the hard work of the PTO and our wonderful parent helpers. If you or your child did not get the chance to shop they are going to open the shop for a final time the night of our Holiday concert from 6:00-8:00 pm Dec. 13.

NEWRICHMONDFOOD PANTRY

Please remember that we are collecting canned goods for the New Richmond Food Pantry. This is a worthwhile organization that helps many families in our community at Christmas time and throughout the year. If you would like to donate nonperishable food items and canned goods you may send them in with your child. We will be collecting these items until Friday, December 16.

REMINDERS

  • Please make sure that your child wears weather appropriate clothing to school. It is now too cold to be wearing shorts and pajama/lounge pants are not permitted. If your child does not wear a coat they will not be allowed to go out to recess.
  • Please send in Campbell’s labels and Box Tops. This is an easy fundraiser for the PTO and every label and box top counts! This is the way we earn most of our balls, jump ropes and hoops for the playground.

Contact youth program director Matthew Kline at 513 553-0188 with questions.

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED-We have a “bare bones” crew of volunteers committed to our new Book Bridges but could still use more. We also have a need for help with reading in grade three. Please check your schedules or ask some retired folks or grandparents if they are interested in helping out at our school. Contact Mrs. Miller with questions or to offer your services!

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe that we are half way through December and that the 2nd quarter ends December 21! There is a buzz of excitement in the air as the children anticipate the holiday season. We continue to push ahead to provide an excellence learning environment and strong academics while at the same time, make school FUN! I hope you feel we are succeeding.

Thanks again for all you do to support your child’s education at NRE and to be proud partners in education here!

Sincerely,

Terry Miller
