June 2016 – September 2017 Senior Systems Engineer, Contract through AltaIT for Leidos & CDC

§  Primarily responsible for twenty Linux (RHEL 6 and 7) and ten Solaris (10) servers, and secondarily responsible for about five Windows servers, used for running Oracle databases and applications used by the Center for Disease Control's Strategic National Stockpile for keeping inventory and track of expiration dates and other such information. Servers were in a state of transition from Solaris to Linux RHEL 7, which involved powering down physical Solaris servers and building new RHEL 7 boxes using kickstarter under VMWare vSphere on Equallogic storage arrays. New RHEL 7 boxes were being built with SIMP and puppet to meet government STIG requirements.

November 2013 – January 2016: Senior Systems Engineer, Turner, Atlanta, GA

§  Maintain, configure and diagnose issues with Quantum StorNext digital library (over 13 petabytes) including 10,000-slot StorageTek SL8500 and two i6000 tape libraries using LTO6 drives

§  Upgraded the StorNext digital library system to v5.2 of StorNext and v6.6 of RHEL and CentOS, replaced all Unix hardware
