CONVENTION PLANNING

You should plan to arrive no later than Tuesday, October 18th, 10 PM. Plan to depart on Saturday at about 4 PM.

Information for Parents:
Indianapolis Marriott Downtown
350 West Maryland Street
Indianapolis, IN 46225
Telephone: 317-822-3500

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

1. "Top Drawer" FFA members active in the affairs of the chapter. Members whose character, appearance and attitudes are beyond reproach. If they do not characteristically follow our State Code of Ethics, they have no business attending any official FFA function, least of all the National Convention. They should be the kind who are self-motivating, interested in attending the sessions, ones who can be trusted to keep their rooms neat and who respect other people's property.
2. Chapter Advisors who can make arrangements for taking care of their classes while they are gone. Chapters properly structured have mini-chapters for each class. If your NRCS director, County Agent, Veterinarian, FSA Officer, Attorney or others were to take your classes for one day each, the class presidents should preside, the class secretaries take roll and some excellent teaching can take place. These are the kinds of people your students should get to know.
3. Administrators - Every administrator who has attended comes home enthusiastic about the FFA. Please encourage your superintendent and/or principal to attend.
4. Others - Advisors' spouses, parents, honorary members, legislators, etc.
