[Multi-line Digital 8 or 16 button sets with handsfree and/or display]

TO ANSWER A CALL

1.Lift handset OR press the extension key or the HANDSFREE/MUTEKEY

TO HANG UP WHEN CALL COMPLETED

1.Press RLSKEY and replace handset

TO PLACE A CALL ON HOLD

1.Press HOLD button

2.Local will flash

TO RETRIEVE HELD CALL

1.Press appropriate flashing line key

TO MAKE A HANDSFREE CALL

1.Press a free extension key and dial out or press HANDSFREEKEY and dial

TO MUTE CALLS

1.To mute microphone, press HANDSFREE/MUTE KEY

  1. To turn mute off: press HANDSFREE/MUTE KEY

TO TRANSFER A CALL (YOU MUST HAVE A TRANS KEY)

1.Press TRANSFER KEY

2.Dial extension number.

3.Press TRANSFER KEY

4.Press RLSKEY and hang up

TO CONFERENCE A CALL

1.Press CONFERENCE KEY

2.Dial extension number and wait for person to answer (announce call)

3.Press CONFERENCE KEY

4.Press RLSKEY and hang up (*NOTE: If local is busy or there is no answer, press flashing line key to return to caller)

TO PLACE A CONFERENCE CALL

1.Press CONFERENCE KEY

2.Dial extension number and wait for person to answer (announce conference)

3.Press CONFERENCE KEY (3 parties now on line)

4.For each additional party, repeat steps 1 to 3 (*NOTE: Maximum 6 people including you.)

RING AGAIN (ON CAMPUS ONLY AND YOU MUST A RGA KEY)

1.After receiving busy tone, press RING AGAINKEY (Ring again tone will indicate busy local is now free)

2.Lift handset

3.Press the RING AGAINKEY

SPEED CALL (YOU MUST BE IN A SYSTEM LIST AND MUST HAVE A SCC/U KEY)

To program numbers you call frequently

A.To Program:

1.Without lifting handset, press SPEED CALLKEY once

2.Dial location entry code (00-99), 9 plus complete phone number

3.Press SPEED CALL

B.To Use:

1.Select a line

2.Press SPEED CALLKEY

3.Dial entry number (00-99)

REDIAL LAST NUMBER

1.Lift handset and press line you used to place your last call OR

2.Press line twice OR

  1. Press HANDSFREE and press line

MESSAGE WAITING

  1. Lift handset OR handsfree/mute key
  2. Press extension
  3. Press MWK
  4. System voice mail number is accessed

CALL PICKUP (YOU MUST BE IN A SYSTEM GROUP AND HAVE A RNP KEY)

1.Lift handset

2.Press CALL PICKUPKEY or dial 113.

AUTO DIAL (YOU MUST HAVE AN ADL KEY)

A.To Program:

1.Without lifting handset, press the AUTO DIALKEY once

2.Dial the number you wish to program (You must dial 9 for an off-campus number, or 9-1-XXX for a long distance number. Please note: auto dial keys are not necessarily programmed to allow for off-campus dialing.)

3.Press the AUTO DIALKEY

B.To Use:

1.Lift handset or press handsfree key

2.Press AUTO DIALKEY

CALL FORWARD

1.Without lifting the handset, press the FORWARDKEY once

2.Dial number to which your calls will be forwarded

3.Press FORWARDKEY (light remains steady)

To De-Activate: Press FORWARD key

(*Note: If you always forward to the same local, press FORWARD key twice).

CALL PARK (YOU MUST HAVE A CALL PARK KEY)

To Activate:

1.Press PARK button twice (on sets without display). Press CALL PARK once (on sets with display), it will assign a retrieval code.

To Retrieve:

1.Lift handset

2.Dial 1172

3.Dial the extension where the call is parked (or enter the retrieval code)
