CV

In 2009 I decided to start working as a freelance translator since moving from one continent to another due to my husband’s work made it impossible to work in any other fashion. I enjoy the freedom, the interaction with clients from all over the world, and most of all learning something new with every translation!

My background is chemical engineering, I used to work within the pharmaceutical sector in both development and production and later directly with customers and customer technical support, presentation and marketing. I have gained solid experience of technical literature/texts as I have both written and supervised writing of complex instruction manuals and technical marketing material.

Languages are my big passion and I feel that I am in the right place now as freelance translator where I can combine my knowledge in chemistry, technology and marketing with languages.

As a freelance translator, I work mainly with Fluencybut have experience with other CAT-tools, like MemoQ, Trados and Wordfastas well. I also use subtitling software for subtitling and translation and spotting of audio files for timed templates for translation.

  • Science/Chemistry/Technology/Medical/ Engineering
  • Instruction manuals/Marketing material/ descriptions, sales brochures and scientific papers
  • Subtitling TV series/movies, TV/ movie-synopsis.Timed translation, translation directly from audio and spotting.
