R.R.O. 1990, REGULATION 749

CHEESE — MARKETING — EXEMPTIONS

This Regulation is made in English only.

1.In this Regulation,

“cheese” means cheese of every variety produced in Ontario;

“producer of cheese” means the person who owns the cheese at the time it is made. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 749, s. 1.

2.The Ontario Milk Marketing Board exempts from section 8 of Regulation 748 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990,

(a)cheese that is sold directly to consumers at the plant of the producer thereof;

(b)a producer of cheese named in column 1 of Schedule 1 in respect of cheese manufactured from pasteurized milk at the plant or plants set opposite the name of the producer in column 2; and

(c)a producer of cheese named in column 1 of Schedule 2 in respect of cheese packaged in containers other than,

(i)rectangular containers having a capacity of 40 pounds, or

(ii)round containers having a capacity of 90 pounds,

and manufactured at the plant or plants set opposite the name of the producer in column 2. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 749, s. 2.
