a)Elementary- January 29th

i)Advise parents to have students at school the day of the bowl by 7:20AM. The Pre-K shuttle leaves your school at 7:30AM sharp. You will want students on the bus ramp at 7:25AM at the latest.

ii)I should be able to give you a bus list after all the field trip requests are in.

b)Middle/ High- January 27th

i)RT66- MMS, LCHS, and SGMS- Pick up will be at the front of the school. After the bowl you will ride the same bus back to school.

ii)RT 118- LFMS and BI- Pick up will be at the front of the school. After the bowl you will ride the same bus back to school.

c)Second Place Trophies!

d)Team Picture- I need a picture from the following schools: BGE, FLE, JBE, SGMS

5)Media Festival

a)What are you doing to promote the media festival in your school?- Post to Media Matters@ LCSS- include your school initials in the response

b)Discussion: How can you support your teachers and inspire your students? How are you working with your computer lab teacher to collaborate on the festival? What lessons are you teaching in the media center that will result in a media festival project?

c)Important Dates:

i)Hold your school festival before March 8th.

ii)Send Jaime your spreadsheet for the county media festival by March 8th.

(1)See sample spreadsheet- Add an additional worksheet and enter individual names for each project that has more than one student producer.

iii)Send superior projects to Jaime at the BOE by March 11th

iv)LibertyCounty Media Festival- March 19th at the Board of Education

d)NEW Project format- Podcasts!- audio and still images, no video

8)Group Activity- Follow the link for your age group. Review the attached website. Work in a group of 2-3 and design an itinerary for the event listing the school and student activities/ contests/ lessons you will host. Create a flyer to share with whole group. You have 30 minutes to complete this activity. You will take this flyer back to your school media committee and set an agenda in your next meeting for your event.
