Section 4 - Development Responsibilities

In consideration of You complying with Your obligations under this Developer’s registration for use of the LRS web services (WS’s), the Skills Funding Agency grants You a limited non-exclusive non-transferable revocable licence to develop a system to system connection to the Learning Record Service (the “LRS”) services. If You are developing a direct connection from your systems to the LRS, You agree to be bound by this Developer’s registration. If You do not agree to this Developer’s registration then You will not be permitted to develop a system connection to the Learning Records Service’s portals and should not attempt to do so.

1Once you have properly entered into this Developer’s registration. We shall provide You with access to the Developer’s Teamsite.

2The Skills Funding Agency has taken reasonable care to ensure that the information available through the Developer’s Teamsite is accurate and up-to-date. The Developer’s Teamsite will be released upon completion of design for each release. It may be updated following our testing of each release in line with normal development lifecycle processes.

  1. We will register your organisation details on the Developer register and we will:
    3.1Keep You informed of any unforeseen corrections to the web services and corrections in the developer’s pack issued by Us.

3.2Advise you of and consider your views in all planned improvements to the web services and the Developer’s Teamsite in advance of their introduction.

4You must make sure that web services interface specifications are not shared with unauthorised persons outside your organisation.

5You are responsible for protecting the confidentiality of all the information you use to develop an interface to our portals and for complying with all guidelines issued by Us from time to time in order to prevent unauthorised access to the LRS. You agree to immediately notify the LRS Support Team, Skills Funding Agency, Cheylesmore House, Quinton Road, Coventry, CV1 2WT should You become aware of any unauthorised use of Your WS’s, loss or theft of any information which may allow another to gain unauthorised access to the LRS. All information held on the Developer’s Teamsite is subject to copyright and must not be reproduced.

6You may contribute and participate in the LRS developer’s forum by attending workshops on the web service development.

7You will develop those web service functions you wish to use fit for business purpose and follow any best practice guidance provided by Us.

7.1You will only be permitted to develop those web service functions which the Learning Records Service hasprovided for your organisation type.

8You are only entitled to develop an interface provided to our portals in accordance with the terms of this registration and must not use the information for any malicious, illegal or anti-social activity.

9Non compliance with the terms of this agreement may lead to removal of your access rights to the LRS Developer’s Teamsite.
