Part 2 – Element Panel (Due Friday, November 17)

Your mission is to research an assigned element from the periodic table and decorate an 8x10 cardboard panel for that element. The element panel you decorate will be used to create a giant periodic table to display for the entire school to see. Your display must be eye-catching, neatly done, and informative.

Requirements for Panel:(See picture example attached)

  • Must be done neatly!
  • Must incorporate 8-10 pictures and/or objects (with captions) to show everyday uses, important information, and characteristics of the element.
  • The element’s chemical symbol should be large and easily distinguishable in the upper portion of the panel.
  • The atomic number should be large and easily distinguishable in the upper right corner of the box.
  • Points for your panel will be based on creativity, style, and effort!

Notes:

  • Your first and last name should be on theBACK of element panel.
  • Attach pictures/objects NEATLY – using glue stick, hot glue, or double-stick tape.
  • Glue guns should be used for heavy objects. I have a glue gun if you do not have access to one at home. You must make time to come in during tutoring hours or after school for use. Or perhaps during your recess time.
  • Our periodic table will not look exactly like the one pictured. Our cardboard panels will be flat instead of 3-dimensional. Make sure your cardboard panel is 8x10 so that all the panels fit together properly!
  • If you are having trouble with any part of this project, please talk to me about it!!!!
