Salary range: £28,000- £30,000 per annum

An affiliate of the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama, Central School of Ballet provides one of the most comprehensive dance courses available in Europe, preparing students for careers in classical ballet, contemporary dance and musical theatre.In addition to the Foundation and BA (hons) degree programmes, Central’s classes for younger dancers continue to attract hundreds of children. For those aspiring to a career as a dancer, our Prep and Pre Senior programme, Spring and Summer courses and Dance Days give 11 to 16 year olds a taste of life at a vocational dance school.

We are looking to recruit an experienced and well organised team-playerto contribute towards the smooth running of the Senior School’s FD and BA (Hons) Degree Courses in Professional Dance and Performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of administering the audition and application process for new students alongside maintaining appropriate records for continuing students, including HESA reporting and scholarship/bursary scheme administration.

As the lead coordinator of the student timetable and the first point of contact for students you will have excellent communication and strong inter-personal skills. Your attention to detail and your ability to find solutions to challenges will be as important as your commitment to delivering a high quality service to our students, staff and other stakeholders.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and bring with you at least 2 years experience of operating in a similar post at a senior level. Ideally your experience will have been gained within a higher education environment. Although knowledge of dance or ballet is not essential, enthusiasm for Central's vision and the aspirations of our students to become the best dancers that they can be, is.

This is an excitingopportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced role within the performing arts sector, reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations and working closely with the Director of the School. We are offering the post on a 13 month fixed-term basis and the closing date for applications is Monday 4th April at12 p.m. Interviews are expected to be held during the week beginning 11th April 2016, start date23rdMay 2016.
