COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Road Committee:

Pole Building Design Specs

Þ  Bruce Steigerwalt shared that as a result of the last meeting he looked into how and who should prepare contract. I wanted to see a costars contract and make modifications, only to find out Pioneer and Shirk are not a costars supplier. They do not bid construction activities. My problem is that our township engineer saying that if we go with a costars supplier, we do not have to bid. Construction activities are not part of the costars process. Shirk advised that they can sell us the building but they cannot construct the building. If we proceed with Shirk they will provide cad drawings to be able to prepare specs and trade items. All Shirk asks is that if they are allowed to bid we waive the bid package fee. Travis Steigerwalt shared that he met with Wilson Contracting. They are the contractor who constructed the new building for the Orioles. They can provide a new building at a cost of $312,000 for our township administration and police department. Travis provided information to the Board for their consideration. John contacting Tim Edinger for estimate to prepare specs. Bruce Steigerwalt contacting architects for pricing.
