Branch Manager/ Officer, NYCB/ Garden State Community Bank (July 2010 – October 2011)

Managed business calls to increase market share in both the commercial and consumer product area. Held daily sales meetings and coached internal sales objectives. Review daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales production against goals. Ensure all audit, compliance and security regulations are met. Interview, evaluate and coach team members to provide customer service to increase our customer base, as well as, retain existing base. Manage the schedule and staffing levels to stay within budget.

Community Branch Manager/AVP, Sovereign Bank (August 1997- March 2010)

Current duties include implementing sales programs to ensure that branch goals are obtained in key areas such as; core deposits, commercial loans, consumer loans, and investment services. Prepare and maintain an annual budget by increasing fee income and reducing expenses such as overtime, teller differences and fraud losses. Manage the daily operations and customer service aspects of the branch as we strive for not only expansion but retention of our customers. Manage and train the branch staff including hiring, staffing, schedules, counseling, coaching, performance appraisals, promotions and when necessary terminations. Develop an action plan and assign accountability that will drive the branches overall sales effort. While at Sovereign my branches have received awards for top deposit growth, top core deposits growth, and top consumer loan growth.

Branch Manager / Area Manager, First DeWitt Bank (Sovereign Bank) (04/95 – 8/97)

As Area Manager I effectively managed 2 branches with a combined staff of 20 employees. Developed a sales action plan where none existed previously through development of customer service and a successful cross sell effort. Increased core deposits, consumer loans and brokerage services on consistent basis through our cross sell program. Increased fee income through increased sales, as well as, decreased expenses by reducing overtime through efficient staff scheduling. Ensure compliance with the banks internal policy and procedures. Recognized as Branch Manager of the Year in 1996.

Held the following positions at Carteret: CSR 1978-1981, Management Trainee 1982, Supervisor 1982-1984, Assistant Manager 1984, Corporate Recruiter 1984-1985, Branch Manager 1985 through 1995. Developed operational and sales skills to grow and advance.
