Bell Ringer: Twelfth Night Mischief ( turn in the last 3 on Canvas)

Activity:

  • Turn in “This is a Photograph of Me” poem
  • Share child soldier article on ISIS
  • Pre-Reading Activity ( take up for a grade)
  • Show “Child Soldier” YouTube video – Students will take notes on the video

Objectives: To show the horrors of child soldiers in Sierra Leone

Tuesday (A Day)

  • Objective: To pay close attention and follow along as the text is read. T o identify information

Bellringer: Connotation and Denotation Day 2 exercise

  • Turn in Voc. 9 Synonyms/Antonyms/Vocabulary in Context
  • Activity: Chapter 1& 2 activity submitted by Ms. Arwyn on teacherspayteachers.com
  • Activity: Read in-class chapter 3

Objective: To show understanding of the themes in chapter 1in A Long Way Gone and provide support from the primary text using direct quotes and draw meaning from connections you made
