Reporting to the Projects and Quality Director for South America, was responsible for development of products for Brazilian market, as well as development and implementation of export projects in joint ventures with Chinese companies for clients in Latin America, Africa and Middle East (LAAM).

Main activities and results:

  • Planning and development of new products Agile and Montana, and regionalization of Cruze to attend Brazilian customer needs.
  • Consulting in planning and execution of new launches in South America.
  • Leadership of international teams (approximately 50 people) to develop, implement and continuous improve processes, suppliers and products, integrating GM LAAM units and Chinese joint venture teams, enablinginternationalization and start of exports, turning the Chinese joint venture in number one world exporter of minivans, exceeding export volume target in 40% and increasing market participation from 0 to 30% in Colombia , Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Egypt and Middle East in 2012.
  • Enable Chinese partners and its products to export to global markets, considering each country needs.
  • Coordination of New Product Advance Evaluation Area, simulating customer usage conditions, facilitating identification of more than 40% of product, Plant and suppliers improvements before launch.

  • Coordination of all Field and Warranty Problem Resolution Cycle (PDCA), integrating company functional areas with the objective of quickly and efficiently solve problems in local and exported products to: China, India, Mexico, Egypt, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Central America and South Africa, improving the External Customer Satisfaction Survey by 8% annually during four consecutive years.
  • Reduction of 21% in Warranty Cost and 26% in Field Complaints (annual) in Brazil, with a team of 56 people.
  • Development and implementation of After-sales Training Program for 90% (405) of dealerships in Brazil in just 10 months, with the objective of improving the installation of original accessories.
  • Led a global project to increase the reimbursement of warranty costs with suppliers at the GM four Regions: LAAM, Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe.
