Leadership McAlester Class of 2015-2016

What is Leadership McAlester?

Leadership McAlester was designed to give professional leaders the opportunity to learn more about their community and to develop relationships with other participants and community leaders.

Leadership McAlester will start in September 2015 with an evening reception followed by a full day of McAlester history. The course will be completed in February 2016, meeting once a month, with the graduation ceremony commencing on April 7, 2016.

In addition to exploring the city, county, healthcare, educational, utilities and large employers in the area, the participants will also develop their team building skills by choosing a service project that will need to be completed by class graduation.

Participants and employees must commit to this program for it to be effective.

Deadline for applications is August 28, 2015.

For those needing financial assistance, the Chamber is able to provide scholarships due to a grant from the Puterbaugh Foundation. Please see page 4 to apply for a Puterbaugh Scholarship.
