PositionSummary

This position is responsible for safe, efficient and quality completion of tasks assigned by an Irrigation Tech or Field manager. The renovation, programing, troubleshooting, and repair of any customer’s irrigation system is a top priority. Timely completion of all customer service goals done in a safe, friendly, and professional manner is essential. Communication of all information about on-site variances and equipment service needs, must be documented and reported to the Irrigation Tech or Field Manager, on a timely basis. Compliance with all Water Restrictions, Safety and regulatory agencies for everyone’s benefit is critical. Proper care, utilization and security of all company assets is mandatory.

Reports to: Irrigation Tech directly and Account Manager indirectly

Works with: Field Managers, Irrigation Tech, Crew Foreman

Direct Team members: Irrigation Tech and Laborer

Responsibilities

  • Represents Metco’s best interest in interaction and communication with all parties. You are the Face/Voice/Embodiment of Metco Landscape.
  • Work in coordination with Irrigation Tech to achieve timely completion of all daily tasks required.
  • Knowledge of all local Water District rate plans and rebate structures.
  • Operates landscape maintenance tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Reports to Shop manager any equipment service needs or safety concerns.
  • Focus on achieving all production, quality, and customer satisfaction outcomes.
  • Adheres to all company policies and regulations, at all times.
  • Must have Knowledge of various Irrigation equipment and system applications.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to pass a Drug Test and other employment requirements.
  • Experience in operating a variety of Irrigation systems and ability to repair “old” systems
  • Flexibility in hours worked and daily tasks performed.
  • Ability to lift/ move 50lb objects.
  • Knowledge and experience in the safe use of vehicles and equipment.
  • Clean MVR and valid driver’s license; sign all vehicle policy forms.

Preferred

  • Irrigation system related experience
  • Bilingual communication in Spanish
  • Ability in troubleshooting, repairing, and operating an irrigation system
  • Ability to understand Irrigation “As Builts”, Blue Prints, and Plans
  • Industry Certifications like CLT, BMP
  • Mechanically inclined

  • 40+ hours per week; Variable Snow hours
  • Exposed to year-round weather conditions
  • Frequently exposed to moving machinery and noise
  • Some heavy lifting may be required (+50LBS)
  • In and out of vehicles throughout the day
