  • These procedures are to be followed for all home games.

Away Football Games:

  • Report to the band room at the assigned time listed on the calendar. For long trips, I will provide food before we leave on the trip. Short trips, like toConnally HS, will be treated like a home game.
  • Students with instruments needing to be loaded on the band trailer will do the following: Large instruments will be taken to the trailer side door where the band managers will load them.

Keyboards and large percussion equipment is loaded from the back of the trailer. Podiums and other equipment is also loaded from the back of the trailer. Make sure you personally take care of your instrument. Flags are responsible for loading their equipment onto the trailer.

  • Students are assigned to buses by sections. Please check the list on the back door for your assigned bus. This may change!
  • Students are to follow the district transportation rules while riding the bus. Do not throw

anything from the bus. Remember your safe transportation is what is most important.

  • We will arrive at the visitor stadiums around 6:30 PM. Please remain seated and quiet on the bus when we arrive, so the driver may park the bus. After all buses have been parked, students may then unload.
  • Go to the band trailer and get your instrument. It will be unloaded by the band managers. Please do your part to help.
  • We will then follow the procedures for the home games. Marching in, conduct in the stands, etc.
  • If possible we will march out of the stadium. Please listen for my instructions. This will be adjusted as necessary to get us home as quick as possible.
  • Make sure you case your instrument and put it at the trailer door where we loaded it at home.
  • Make sure you see your instrument loaded. There is not much light where we load.
  • Please contact your ride when we are about twenty (20) minutes from home. Remind your ride not to block the gates or where the band trailer and buses must enter.
  • ABOVE ALL, PAY ATTENTION, DO YOUR BEST AND HAVE FUN!
