Applications submitted for consideration of membership in the NJHS with any missing, incomplete or inaccurate information will be considered incomplete and will be returned to the candidate as soon as possible. Applicants may resubmit their paperwork for consideration as long as the submission is within the timeline established by the adviser. No deadlines for submission will be extended. Please fill out the form as neatly as possible. Proofread and make sure everything is filled out when you turn it in.

Leadership Recommendation for NJHS

Leadership can manifest itself in different ways. We are specifically looking for situations where a student possesses a positive attitude and where an adult observed that student and can attest to the student’s abilities as a self-starter, group leader, problem solver, effective communicator, etc. While a student may not possess all the above qualities, the recommendation should be able to demonstrate evidence of these qualities in the student. This form can be filled out by an adult working in or outside of the school, but not by a member of the student’s family. The NJHS council will review all applications and letters and use their discretion as to whether or not leadership has been demonstrated.
