Job Title:Children’s Centre Data & Outcomes Officer

Reporting to:County Manager

Hours of Work:35 hours per week

Location:Based atHolloway House, Epsom Square, White Horse Business Park, Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 0XGbut providing support to all Children’s Centre’s nationally so travel will be required.

Salary:£20,000 per annum

JOB PURPOSE

  • To support the Cluster Manager in ensuring thatthe Children’s Centrehas consistent demographic data sets, information and analyses to enable their effective development and management of the core offer and specific targeted services to the communities they serve.
  • To ensure that field information, including evaluation, feedback, participation statistics, contribution to National Indicators and customer satisfaction is provided and effectively managed and reported.
  • To support theCluster Manager to ensure all interventions and services delivered to families are evidenced clearly and in a manner that can be stored effectively and that they are linked in with local priorities.
  • To monitor the longer term impact of all interventions.

JOB ACTIVITIES

  • Working with the Cluster Manager to analyse data to ensure interventions and outcomes are appropriate recorded and evidenced.
  • Support all staff within the Cluster on collecting, recording and monitoring interventions and recording of outcomes.
  • Work with the Cluster Manager on the internal management of the eStart data base and sustain a working relationship with all Children’s Centre staff to provide detailed monthly analyses of Management Information Systems data, ensuring that:
  1. Datais input and managed correctly.
  2. Reach and volume are being correctly recorded, monitored and reported.
  3. Super Output Areas are being appropriately targeted.
  4. Understanding of data and how to use it.
  5. Sustain the effective working relationship with Cluster Managers, ensuring that the Management Information System data base is used effectively in the recording of outcomes.
  6. Provide other information and data reports as required by the County Manager, Head of Children’s Services and 4Children Senior Management Team.
  7. Carry out regular CC9 audits and planning and evaluation processes across all centres, identifying areas for improvement.
  8. Review use of Data within each centre SEF ensuring the most up to date data is used effectively and appropriately.
  9. Monitor and update all data sets on a continual basis to ensure that information is current, accurate, relevant and consistent at any given time.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  1. Educated to A Level standard as a minimum.
  1. Experience of analysing and interpreting data.
  1. Experience of presenting/training.
  1. Ability to work with a diverse range of people.
  1. Confidence to challenge poor practice and identify areas for improvement.
  1. Ability to present data and information in a way that is meaningful and relevant to staff who may not have a data background.
  1. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  1. Excellent research skills.
  1. Good organisational skills ability to prioritise.
  1. A good level of computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and a willingness to expand knowledge and training.
  1. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  1. A methodical and efficient approach to tasks with the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  1. An energetic and enthusiastic “can do” attitude.
  1. An understanding of and commitment to working in an equal opportunities

  1. Full clean driving license required as well as owning your own vehicle for work purposes.

Desirable

  1. Experience of eStart.
  2. Good working knowledge of XL spreadsheet and or Access data base. (or equivalent).

Salaries are paid by direct debit into the staff member’s nominated bank account on the 15th day of each month.
