INVITATION TO OPENING CEREMONY, SYMPOSIUM AND TRAINING COURSE

OF “ CReSOS “, AND CALL FOR PAPERS

It is a pleasure for us, staff of CReSOS/UNUD to introduce our activities and invite you, friends to the Opening Ceremony, the Comprehensive Symposium and Training Course at the beginning September 2003. The program, including the time table and it’s content of the Oratry, First-CReSOS Comprehensive Symposium and Training Course will be illustrated as follows.

I) TIME TABLE OF SEPTEMBER PROGRAM

  • Introduction of Prof/Visiting Prof/Visiting Prof (by Research)/Guest Lecturer.
  • Scientific oratory by Prof. Yasuhiro Senga, Ryutaro Tateishi and Hiroki Sugimori.
  • Papers for scientific oratory should be receive by LOC-CReSOS 2003 in the form of full paper in hard copies and its diskette/CD, at the latest by July 31st, 2003

14.00 ~ 17.00 / Professor and CReSOS Staff Meeting to discuss
1. Preparation of Marine Science Graduate Program
2. Research Fellows to be PhD program participants
3. Working Time Table of Graduate Course for possible participation and contribution of Visiting Professor
17.00 ~ 19.00 / Celebration Party for CReSOS inauguration and development of marine Science Program at University of Udayana Site at University’s old campus, Denpasar.
Sept. 2nd
(Tuesday) / 09.00 ~ 17.30 /
  1. Plenary session with 4 keynote speakers (each 20 minutes). The keynote speakers are Dr. Tashuku Tanaka, Dr. Takashi Moriyama (NASDA), and the other 2 persons will be decided later.
  2. Each session contains 5 papers presentations (18 minutes each), therefore the number of papers in the sessions are 30. The expected papers in this Symposium consisted of 4 keynote speakers papers, 10 papers from Japanese scientists, 10 papers from Indonesian scientists, 10 papers from other countries.
  3. It is expected at least 24 papers or 30 papers at the most to be ready for sessions presentation. The titles of papers are Satellite Remote Sensing, Oceanography and related field of disciplines
  4. Keynote papers and scientific papers for the symposium, should be received in the form of hard copies (2 ex) and its diskette/CD, at the day of Symposium (Sept. 2nd, 2003). However, the abstract of paper should be received by LOC-CReSOS 2003, at the latest on August 7th, 2003

2.Scientific paper to be presented at the International Symposium on Remote Sensing and Ocean Sciences(IReSOS), and related subjects, September 2nd, 2003.

3.1), and 2), all papers will be published in International Journal of Remote Sensing and Ocean Sciencesa(IJReSOS).

III)DEADLINE

Keynote papers and scientific papers for the symposium, should be received in the form of hard copies (2 ex) and its diskette/CD, at the day of Symposium (Sept. 2nd, 2003). However, the abstract of paper should be received by LOC-CReSOS 2003, at the latest on August 7th, 2003.

IV)GUIDE FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

The paper should be written in English in the style determined by the LOC-CReSOS. The full paper including tables and figures should not be longer than 15 full pages. Detail instruction for the preparation of paper format and style is the following:

  • Paper size: A4
  • Style: 1 (one) column
  • Paragraph: 1 space
  • Margins: (top: 3 cm, bottom, right and left: 2.5 cm)
  • Title: Times new roman, 18 points, bold centering
  • Author(s): smallcapital, 12 points
  • Affiliation: italic, 10 points
  • E-mail Address: italic, 10 points
  • Abstract: Arial 10 points, italic, capital, bold
