10 Year Anniversary Conference

of the Practitioner Health Programme

The Practitioner Health Programme UK in association with Healthcare Conferences UK are pleased to announce the International Practitioner Health Summit 2018 on the 10th Anniversary of the Practitioner Health Programme. We are opening the research stream of the 2018conference to abstracts; which we will assess for inclusion in the conference programme as an oral presentation or poster display.

The event has been developed following feedback from previous years and isaimed at all delegates with an interest in practitioner health. The research stream will focus on the following areas

-International Research

-Research intoaddiction in doctors

-Research into medical students and mental illness

-Clinical aspects and innovative treatment models with respect to physician health

-Resilience and Healthy workplaces

-When treatment doesn’t work

-Research in Practitioner Health

Details of the two types of presentation are below:

Oral presentation:

Abstracts selected for oral presentation in one of the specialty streams or practical workshops. Each presenter will be allocated between 10-20-minute session (depending on the session) followed by question and answers in the research stream of the conference programme. If your abstract is selected for an oral presentation, the senior author will be invited to present and will receivea free place at the conference. No travel expenses or speaker fee will be paid.

Poster Display:

Poster presentations are visual displays of material, which will be displayed in the exhibition area throughout the conference. If your presentation is selected for a poster display, the senior author must be in attendance at the conference for the poster to be displayed. If your abstract is selected for poster presentation, the senior author will be invited to attend and will receive a 25% discount from the conference fee. No travel expenses or speaker fee will be paid.

If your abstract is selected for either presentation, it will be included in the conference handbook.

All abstracts should be uploaded to using the submission form attached. Abstract guidelines are located on page 2. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 1st December 2017(we cannot accept any abstracts after this date).

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

All Abstracts should include the following:

• All abstracts should be completed on the attached abstract form
• All should include: title, author, organisation, 3 bullet points summarising the presentation including the aims and objectives of theworkshop and what people can learn from the presentation
• Maximum 300 words for main abstract (longer abstracts will not be reviewed)
• The paper will be accepted on the understanding that the senior author will be present at the meeting to support the presentation
• Abstracts will be reviewed based on criteria as follows: acceptability for programme, originality, completeness, clarity of objectives, and conclusions/learning points
• Format: when uploading please name your word document “Abstract PHP & your name/name of first author”
• We cannot be responsible for abstracts that are not received so please ensure you receive confirmation of receipt of abstract
