IBWA Announces A New Member Benefit:

Regional Plant Tours and Seminars!

The International Bottled Water Association’s (IBWA) Membership and Education Committees are pleased to announce that IBWA is offering another in a series of regional bottled water plant tours. The day-long program will also offer educational sessions on operational matters, presented by the facilities’ key plant, production, and quality assurance staff. Bob Hirst, IBWA’s Vice President of Education, Science, and Technical Relations, will also be on hand to update attendees on technical and regulatory news, such as perchlorate, pharmaceuticals and personal care products, Bisphenol-A, antimony, and the new FDA bottled water microbiological rule that becomes effective December 1, 2009. To date, several IBWA member facilities from all over the United States have offered to open their doors to this valuable IBWA program. Don’t miss an opportunity to tour these facilities to gain valuable knowledge for your plants!

Next Location: Pure Flo Water Company – Santee, California

Pure Flo Water Company has generously offered to host the next stop on IBWA’s national tour. The Pure Flo Water plant is located at7737 Mission Gorge Road, approximately 15(fifteen) miles northeast of San Diego International Airport. See page 2 for a map and driving directions. The program will start with a plant tour in the morning, beginning at 9:00 am. We will then drive a short distance to Mission Trails Regional Park, where Pure Flo Water staff will then present an operational information session after the plant tour. After lunch, IBWA will complete the day with an informational update and industry roundtable discussion. Four (4) IBWA CEUs are offered for this one-day event!
