Are you looking for a dynamic company to join? Roush is seeking a forward-thinking Human Resources Assistant to support our team. The successful HR Assistant will be detail-oriented, show initiative, and work well in a fast-paced environment. This position is located in Livonia, MI.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry and maintenance of employee records, including new hire personnel files, I-9 forms and other HR-related documents
  • Double checkingdata entered from completed forms or other documents are accurate and complete while rectifying and following up on any errors or discrepancies found
  • Performing employment verifications
  • Processing new contract employee paperwork using a vendor management system (VMS)
  • Serve as back-up support for HR team members
  • Front desk coverage as needed
  • Making new hire packets and assisting new employees with paperwork
  • Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ professional office experience to includedata entry and handling confidential paperwork and information
  • Human Resources Assistant must have strong record keeping and data entry skills
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
  • Strong customer service skills and demonstrates a high degree of professionalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette and written correspondence
  • Human Resources Assistant must be a dependable team player
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to balance the needs of multiple priorities
  • Ability to work quickly, but accurately with strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • PeopleSoft experience
